Terms and Conditions

Notice Period

1. The notice period really depends on the cake design, number of tiers you require and the amount of pre-booked cakes there may be on that given date. We do prefer at least 4 weeks’ notice for celebration cakes. Once you contact us we can confirm availability
2. Please allow a minimum of 1 weeks’ notice in writing of any required changes (these may incur additional charges)
3. Please state the date your cake has to be collected/deliverd not the actual event date as we may not be able to accommodate if the wrong date is given

Deposits and Payments

1. A non-refundable deposit is required for all orders. This is payable within 48 hours of the booking date to secure your order. With the remainder due one week prior to collection/ delivery. Deposit amount will be agreed at time of booking
2. Last minute orders (2 weeks before date required) the full amount is due at the time of ordering (this is non-refundable)
3. We reserve the right to cancel any prior arrangements for your order, if deposits are not paid within this time scale
4. All payments are the responsibility of the client, we will not issue reminders
5. Payments can be made via cash or Direct Bank Transfer
6. Quotations are valid for ONE MONTH only

Cancellations

1. As stated about ALL deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable
2. Cancellations in excess of 14 days prior to the event. 10% of any additional monies will be retained by Cupcakes By Lilian. The remainder will be returned to the client
3. Cancellation within 14 days prior to the events, any and all additional monies paid will be retained by Cupcakes By Lilian
4. If for any reason we may have to cancel your order all monies will be returned to the client
5. Aggressive, abusive or threatening behaviour will result in your order being cancelled forthwith. Any monies paid will be retained by Cupcakes By Lilian

Delivery and Collections

1. We do offer FREE delivery within 3 miles of Glasgow G20 9JG on orders over £50
2. Deliveries up to an hour and a half round trip will be charged at 45p per mile. This is charged both ways
3. Cakes costing more than £300 will be delivered and setup free of charge within 15 miles of G20 9JG unless otherwise stated
4. Deliveries are dependent on the delivery drivers schedule and may possibly take place the evening before
5. Once a cake has been collected/delivered and the release form is signed Cupcakes By Lilian accepts no responsibility for any damages that may occur thereafter. For wedding cakes it is the bride/groom’s responsibility to appoint somebody they trust to check and sign for the cake. If nobody is there to sign we do take photos of the cake set up for reference and for proof in case of any damage cause thereafter
6. We recommend that all cakes are collected and transported on a flat surface (foot well or boot) and not on any angled surfaces i.e. on seats

Non Edible Items

1. Most cakes contain small portions of inedible items: it is the clients responsibility to ensure that they are removed by you, your caterer or a nominated guest before consumption. These include: Support dowels in tiered cakes, ribbons, wired flowers, dried pasta in some toppers, crystals, flower picks etc

Consultations

1. Consultations are by appointment only and can be arranged at a convenient time to suit you
2. Consultations are limited to 2 people only and will be charged at £25 and is non-refundable (this will be deducted from the overall cost of your cake should you book with us)
3. Should you wish other people to attend your consultation there will be an additional charge of £5 per person

Stand Hire

1. We hire out a selection of cake stands at reasonable prices. For these we do require a fully refundable cash deposit on the provision that they are returned in the condition they were hired to you and in the correct packaging and in the allotted time

Copyright

1. As copyright is a big issue please be aware that although we do request permission to use other cake decorators designs, this is not always an easy process and may result in the design being altered
2. As Cupcakes By Lilian do not hold a license to do such cakes as Disney etc. These will not be created unless we are provided with the figures/ornaments from a licensed UK store (this means we will not buy them on auction sites). We can also provide these at the retailed price
3. Cakes that are featured on this website that have Disney characters where made for family members and not sold.

Disclaimer

1. We cannot guarantee a nut-free kitchen as some of our products contain nuts.
2. We cannot guarantee a 100% colour match, however we will do our best to get it as close as possible.
3. Each cake is made for your individual requirements and therefore we cannot ensure consistency in our design. Variation may occur from picture supplied.
4. We reserve the right to amend our Terms and Conditions
5. We reserve the right to amend any special offers, competitions and prices without notice
